First of all, I do not have any formal chef training and I don't claim to be a chef at all.
I simply enjoy cooking and do my best to make it look appealing and taste great too (as far as I can tell).
A few things about how I cook:
As for what I cook:
I simply enjoy cooking and do my best to make it look appealing and taste great too (as far as I can tell).
A few things about how I cook:
- I don't always cook from pure scratch, but I don't simply warm a frozen dinner up either (I'll talk more about this in a future post)
- I am a relatively poor student so my budget for food and my kitchen reflect that
- I generally never measure anything (besides baking because you can't really do taste trial and error) so when I do post recipes the measurements will only be a rough estimate
- Sometimes I create dishes completely randomly while other times I follow a recipe and/or adapt the recipe to my own style
- Usually try to go healthier than not but If it tastes better with more butter for example I will add the extra butter
As for what I cook:
- It's very dependent on what ingredients I have available because I try not to waste
- Generally a lot of western or Asian inspired dishes (I'm sure you can imagine why)
